The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina has confirmed the indictment of the Prosecutor's Office of B&H charging members of the Ravnogorski movement Dušan Sladojević called "Krvce" and "Čiča", Slavko Aleksić called "Vojvoda" and Risto Lečić with inciting national, racial and religious hatred, discord and intolerance in Višegrad and its surroundings in March 2019, writes Birn.

Harassment of returnees

As previously reported by the Prosecutor's Office of B&H, Sladojević, Aleksić and Lečić are charged with participating in a gathering organized by the "Ravnogorski movement homeland of Srpska " in Višegrad on March 1010, 2019, on Square of Fallen Fighters in Višegrad, and later on the Dobrunska river site known as "Draževina", and by their actions, deeds and actions publicly provoked and incited national and religious hatred, discord and intolerance among the constituent peoples of B&H.

- During the line-up of members of the Ravnogorski movement, including members from Serbia and Montenegro, Sladojević as president of the 'Ravnogorski movement of Republic of Srpska' and Aleksić participated in the line-up, using military terminology and submitting reports, as well as giving speeches in which glorified the Ravnogorski movement, and by playing and singing a song that expresses threat or violence in its text, causing anxiety and fear of the population in B&H, and especially returnees and citizens of Višegrad and surrounding places - they stated earlier in the Prosecutor's Office.

According to the same statement, Lečić is charged with starting to sing a song with a fiddle glorifying the Chetnik movement, which expresses threat or violence in its text, and caused anxiety and fear of the population, especially returnees and citizens of Višegrad and surrounding places.

The Minister of Justice and Administration of the Sarajevo Canton, Lejla Brčić, while she was in that position in the previous mandate, initiated requests to ban the work of those associations.

Criminal charges

After the indictment was filed she said for "Avaz", that in case the indictment is confirmed, it will be a big step forward for B&H towards the abolition of such associations in a similar way as Montenegro did.

- Years ago, we have a situation where we all declaratively condemn such types of gatherings that again provoke hatred and fear, especially among returnees to that part of B&H. The problem is that none of the pro-Bosnian forces used legal means to protect their interests or criminal charges, which I think is tragic. The government of Sarajevo Canton filed a criminal complaint in March last year (2019, author's comment), during the so-called six, then we sent a couple of urgencies because the report was not acted upon - Brčić told for "Avaz" at the time.
