There will be no new reception of migrants in the migrant camp in Blažuj, no new migrant camps will be formed in the Sarajevo Canton, and the Ministry of the Interior of Sarajevo Canton will strengthen cooperation with the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, in order to more adequately treat migrants in our canton.

These are the conclusions from yesterday’s meeting that the Minister of Interior of SC Admir Katica held with the Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Selmo Cikotić, organized in order to find adequate solutions to current issues related to the migrant crisis.

The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Una-Sana Canton, the Head of the Uniformed Police Sector, the Director of the Border Police, the Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affiars, and the Head of the IOM Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

-Next week, together with the Minister of Security of B&H and the Mayor of Ilidža, I will visit the migrant camp in Blažuj, and determine the necessary measures to improve security. We have initiated a clearer definition of the 'house rules' within the migrant camps, an enhanced role of police officers, and the procurement of the necessary material and technical equipment for the police- Minister Katica announced the next activities, the Press Service of SC said.
