Members of the B&H Presidency speak with WHO Director-General

They discussed difficulties and delays in the delivery of vaccines

B&H Presidency members stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina meets all the technical conditions to immediately accept, store and distribute the amount of one million vaccines of all manufacturers operating under the COVAX program. Archive

B&H Presidency Chairman Milorad Dodik and B&H Presidency members Željko Komšić and Šefik Džaferović talked today with World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

They discussed difficulties and delays in the delivery of vaccines to Bosnia and Herzegovina through the United Nations COVAX mechanism.

The members of the Presidency of B&H emphasized that Bosnia and Herzegovina has fulfilled all its financial and other established obligations last year and that it expects the same from the COVAX program and vaccine manufacturers operating within this program.

It was concluded that the Cover Letter and the Agreement on Compensation and Liability between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Producers should be signed as soon as possible, as subsequently added obligations, and the readiness of the Producers to deliver the entire quantity of vaccines within clearly specified deadlines was discussed.

B&H Presidency members stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina meets all the technical conditions to immediately accept, store and distribute the amount of one million vaccines of all manufacturers operating under the COVAX program.

The members of the Presidency of B&H thanked the Director-General of the World Health Organization Ghebreyesus for his support to Bosnia and Herzegovina in obtaining vaccines and requested that the WHO and COVAX program be included in this process until the final delivery of vaccines.
