The trial of Mikica Marijanac and Zoran Bošnjak, criminal technicians of the Banja Luka Police Department, accused of preventing evidence in the investigation in the David Dragičević case, has been postponed today in the Basic Court in Banja Luka.

The trial was postponed because prosecutor Dalibor Vrećo is infected with the coronavirus. The next hearing is scheduled for June 17th.

A large number of supporters of the group "Justice for David" gathered in front of the court building before the start of the trial.

As the "Avaz" journalist previously reported from the scene, the citizens sang David's song "Kid in the Ghetto" and chanted "Justice for David" and "Justice for Dženan".

Those who were present were also carrying banners on which they expressed dissatisfaction with the work of prosecutor Dalibor Vrećo, who is leading the "Dragičević" case. Also, on the banners you can see photos of the accused and one inspector who was involved in the case, when Dragičević's underwear disappeared.

We remind you that Marijanac and Bošnjak are charged with throwing underwear that was removed from David's body during the autopsy into the trash, in order to cover up any traces. The indictment alleges that the underwear, along with other items, was transported to the Banja Luka Police Department on March 25th, ie the drying room.

- In order to prevent or complicate proving the case, they destroyed the object that serves as evidence, thus committing the criminal offense of preventing evidence - the indictment alleges.

Marijanac and Bošnjak separately pleaded not guilty in December 2018 and January 2019, respectively.
