Regarding the information that at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS) as many as 13 anesthesiologists resigned, the Federal Minister of Health Vjeksolav Mandić also commented this yesterday.

Mandić said that he would request a report on the circumstances due to which 13 anesthesiologists left the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo.

- In accordance with my competencies, I will request a report from the members of the Governing Board on behalf of the FB&H Government and the Director of KCUS, as well as a statement regarding the new situation in relation to anesthesiologists - said Federal Minister of Health Vjekoslav Mandic.

However, Sebija Izetbegović's answer to Mandić also arrived yesterday:

Respected Minister,

It is true that my colleagues applied for dismissal, although they had not contacted me before making this decision.

I would like to inform you that KCUS has 44 specialists in anesthesiology, as well as 14 residents, several of whom will soon take the specialist exam. KCUS can continue to function both for the Sarajevo Canton and for the co-founding Cantons - Izetbegović stated in the letter.

She explained to Mandić that it was about the doctors who wrote the "letter" that was published in public.

- The letter caused great public outrage and the families of patients with complaints began to respond. We subsequently initiated Expert Supervision of their work. Of the 17 anesthesiologists who signed the "internal document", which was published in the media, four colleagues withdrew their signatures, stating that they had been manipulated. I note that they never addressed me as the general director. Also, they never reported any specific problems in their work, which they were obligatory to do according to the law and procedures of KCUS - states Sebija Izetbegović in a letter to Minister Mandić.
