On the occasion of the World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, French Ambassador to B&H Christine Toudic opened an exhibition of photographs 'Women humanitarians' in Mostar today.

French diplomacy stands out, especially in humanitarian work, helping to develop and promote equality between women and men.

-The exhibition was initiated by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on the occasion of the International Women's Day. It is important to pay tribute to women, and those who are not always in their homes, but work in the field and in extremely difficult conflict situations- said the French Ambassador on that occasion.

Secretary of the Red Cross of the City of Mostar, Alen Kajtaz, expressed satisfaction that the exhibition on women humanitarians was opened, because, as he said, they contributed a lot to the significance of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.

-One hundred and fifty-nine years of the largest and most numerous humanitarian organization are reason enough to show the role of the Red Cross, but primarily to show how much women contribute to the Red Cross and all humanitarian activities around the world- said Kajtaz.

The authors of the exhibition are volunteers of the Red Cross and various organizations, and about 20 photographs generally show the work and role of women in humanitarian activities.

The exhibition will be opened until May 15, when the week of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is marked.
