The American Ambassador to B&H, Eric Nelson, together with the delegations of the Ministry of Defense of B&H and the Armed Forces of B&H, welcomed the soldiers of the US Army at the Sarajevo International Airport, who arrived on the occasion of the exercise "Immediate Response 2021".

On that occasion, he said, among other things, that the United States is grateful for the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in this exercise.

- This is the largest military exercise so far between the US Army and the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The United States continues to support peace and stability in B&H. This is an exceptional opportunity for a military exercise, where the US Army will work together with the B&H Armed Forces on readiness - Nelson said, among other things.

The US Ambassador to B&H then addressed the soldiers who arrived in our country.

- As the US Ambassador to B&H, I am honored to join the Minister of Defense of B&H, Mr. Podžić, here. You have a long way to go. I hope you all understand that this is not like any other exercise. This exercise is of course very important for you and your army in B&H. But, you are also following in the footsteps of tens of thousands of soldiers who served in B&H and who served to establish peace after 1996 after the signing of the Dayton Agreement and who helped to establish B&H forces - Nelson told US soldiers.

He added that the B&H Armed Forces proved to be a reliable partner during the mission in Afghanistan, and that he is sure that B&H soldiers are looking forward to participate with them in this exercise.
