Mostar Airport has announced charter flights from Italy, Poland and Ireland for August and September this year.

The flights will begin operating depending on legal and other regulations related to passenger restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Due to the epidemiological situation in the country, given that Bosnia and Herzegovina has been put on the red list by Switzerland, the flight to Zurich, which was supposed to start operating on April 11 this year, has been canceled, the Mostar Airport told FENA.

Asked how much the pandemic affected their business and whether workers' incomes were reduced at the time of the pandemic, the Airport pointed out that the Covid-19 pandemic greatly affected the reduction of the Mostar Airport, however, states that with the large financial assistance of the Ministry of Transport of the Federation of B&H, together with the Government of the Federation of B&H, the City of Mostar and the Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, employees were not fired and salaries were not reduced.

-In the first four months of 2019, we had a turnover of 2,040 passengers, while in the first four months of 2020 we had a turnover of 804 passengers- said the Mostar Airport.

They also reminded that Eurowings will continue the return flights from Mostar Airport to Dusseldorf in July this year.

The flights are scheduled to start on July 4, and will be operating once a week, on Sundays.
