The incomplete remains of two more people were exhumed today from a mass grave that was discovered last Monday at the Dobro Polje site near Kalinovik. Thus, from the beginning of the exhumation until today, the remains of a total of nine persons have been found in this mass grave.

According to the Institute for Missing Persons of B&H, the exhumation at this site has been going on for two weeks, and given the fact that it is a very steep and inaccessible terrain that is being dug by hand, the exhumation will continue in the coming days.

According to the Institute for Missing Persons of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is assumed that the skeletal remains found belong to the victims of Bosniak nationality who were murdered in the summer of 1995, and thrown down the steep slope of the Bistrica River canyon.

Some of the victims who were found were tied with wire, and the skeletal remains have traces of gunshot wounds. Along with the remains, some clothes and some personal items were found.

The remains that were found were transferred to the Visoko town cemetery for further criminal and forensic processing, as well as the extraction of bone samples for the purpose of establishing identity through DNA analysis.

The exhumation process led by the Prosecutor's Office of B&H involves an investigator from the Institute for Missing Persons - INO B&H, representatives of the International Commission for the Search for Missing Persons (ICMP) in B&H, a pathologist, workers and machinery, SIPA members and the RS MoI officers who secure the location.
