The Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb confirmed yesterday that for Sebija Izetbegović, Director General of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo (KCUS), there is no documentation on the basis of which they could confirm the credibility of the student's transcript and issue a certificate of passed exams at this higher education institution.

These were incomplete data

These data were forwarded late last week to Rifat Škrijelj, Rector of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA). A month ago, Škrijelj decided to ask the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb for information on the basis of which the authenticity of the student's transcript which was published in the media, in which there was a lot of illogicality, would be confirmed. It is a photocopy of the student's transcript issued in Zagreb on March 2nd, 1993.

As these were incomplete data, answers were requested from Zagreb, which arrived to B&H institutions as a response.

- By inspecting the archives of the Medical Faculty of the University of Zagreb, we found that Sebija Izetbegović, born on April 6th, 1960 in Titograd, Republic of Montenegro was enrolled in the first year of postgraduate study of Ultrasound and clinical medicine in the academic year 1992/1993 under registration number student 4690114. There is no documentation in the named file on the basis of which we could confirm the authenticity of the student's transcript and issue a certificate of passed exams listed in the student's booklet - it is stated in the answer of the Dean of the Medical Faculty in Zagreb Marijan Klarica.

In this way, Sebija's master's degree and doctorate are also called into question.

The Directorate for Inspection Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton (KUIP) determined two weeks ago that the title of Master Director of KCUS requires additional checks. Two weeks ago, the Administration for Inspection Affairs of the Sarajevo Canton completed the inspection supervision at the Medical Faculty in Sarajevo.

It was established that Sebija Izetbegović has only a copy of the student's transcript as proof of schooling in Zagreb. The KUIP clearly indicated why additional checks were needed regarding her education.

The real question is what the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office will do now, because the letter from Zagreb is proof that Sebija's "schooling" is more than disputable, as is her academic education.

Existence of a criminal offense

From this institution, on June 5th, it was said for "Avaz" that the Prosecutor's Office of the Sarajevo Canton monitors the media when it comes to the academic education of Sebija Izetbegović.

To the question we sent to the Chief Prosecutor Sabina Sarajlija: "Did the Sarajevo Canton Prosecutor's Office form a case against Sebija Izetbegović ex officio, and after media articles about academic education?", we received the answer:

- We will react if the available information indicates the existence of a criminal offense for which we are responsible and which is not covered by the statute of limitations or amnesty. Until then, we believe that this is within the competence of the inspection, which is obliged to inform the competent prosecutor's office about the information about any criminal offense that was obtained during the inspection.

The evidence from Zagreb is more than clear. It was already clear to the first and biggest layman that it was impossible for Sebija Izetbegović to enroll in postgraduate studies on March 2nd, 1993, and to pass the first exam in 17 days.

But, the service was then in such a hurry to defend Sebija and made a rookie mistake.
