Ukraine on Thursday reported more than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases in a single day for the first time since May.

A daily case count of 3,663 pushed the overall tally in the country past 2.3 million, according to the country’s Health Ministry. The country also reported 61 more COVID-19 fatalities over the past 24 hours.

The country reported the highest number of daily cases on April 3 when 20,341 people tested positive for the virus.

Ukraine has administered over 5.72 million coronavirus vaccine jabs since the country launched an immunization campaign on Feb. 24.

A total of 161,169 people got their vaccine shots over the past 24 hours.
