President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović said today that in talks with EU and US representatives he saw a willingness to talk seriously with the presidents of HDZ and SNSD and that a compromise solution is found.
After meeting with European External Action Service (EEAS) Director Angelina Eichhorst and US Special Envoy for Electoral Reform Matthew Palmer, Izetbegović said that Palmer's previous statements seemed to him that the solution would be to the detriment of the pro-Bosnian bloc.
- I think that I managed to prove to them that there will be no line of least resistance, but that the resistance will be harder and that a compromise solution will have to be found - said Izetbegović.
He added that Palmer explained to him the idea of deleting ethnic prefixes in the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which he finds interesting, but the SDA still has no position on that.
Izetbegović stated that the proposals for the Presidency of B&H are in line with the one from the April package.
He pointed out that the SDA is close to an agreement with the SDP, and that he thinks that both the Democratic Front and the Social Democrats of BiH are ready for an agreement.
Izetbegović believes that Milorad Dodik has less and less support for his behavior even among Serbs who are tired of his national issues before every election.
