Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and President of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Bakir Izetbegović met today in Istanbul with President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Izetbegović informed Erdogan about the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the unilateral unconstitutional activities of the Republika Srpska authorities, which violate the Dayton Peace Agreement.
Negotiations on changes to the Constitution and electoral legislation in Bosnia and Herzegovina were also discussed.
The interlocutors paid special attention to strengthening economic cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey, with a special focus on the Sarajevo-Belgrade motorway construction project. The necessity of urgent start of the realization of this project was stated, considering that the necessary credit funds have already been secured.
Izetbegović thanked Erdogan for the support of the Republic of Turkey to Bosnia and Herzegovina in the political and economic field, the SDA said.
