Sanctions have never been a solution and I am sure there will be nothing on the table while we agree, HDZ B&H President Dragan Čović said today, commenting on announced US and European Union sanctions to B&H politicians.

- The talks that are taking place and that have been going on have been intense, and in the next fifteen days there will be dozens of them from different parts of the world. However, it was made clear that we must agree, primarily in the FB&H, that is, to bring relations closer and restore trust between Croats and Bosniaks. This is the key task of the HDZ B&H and what I represent in the HDZ through HNS, as well as of my colleagues from SDA and other Bosniak parties in B&H - Čović told reporters, saying that he is sure there would be no sanctions while the agreements last.

He is convinced that the amendments to the B&H Election Law will be completed in the Parliament soon, i.e. by the end of this year, in order to ensure the legitimate representation of the constituent peoples when it comes to the Presidency of B&H and the House of Peoples of FB&H.

- I think that this would solve all the blockades and what we have as a political problem - said Čović.
