The 27th anniversary of the killing of citizens in the massacre near the City Market was marked by the laying of flowers, a minute of silence and prayers.
On that day, 43 people were killed and 84 were wounded at the northern entrance to Sarajevo's City Market. Families, friends and fellow citizens today, with tears in their eyes, remembered the murdered citizens of Sarajevo.
In his address, the Chairman of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly, Elvedin Okerić, pointed out that this was not the first time that the citizens of Sarajevo were killed, trying only to survive.
The commemoration of the anniversary, in addition to numerous other dignitaries, was also attended by the BiH Presidency member Željko Komšić and an envoy of the BiH Presidency Chairman Šefik Džaferović.
