The police will do everything in their power to help clarify the cause of the suicides of several minors in the village of Jardol near Vitez, said the Minister of the Interior of the Central Bosnia Canton, Feliks Vidović.

"I want to express the deepest condolences to the families of the tragically deceased young people. When it comes to the activities carried out by the MoI, a report was compiled after the investigation and submitted to the competent prosecutor's office for further action.

Examination of the circumstances

According to the information at my disposal, the cantonal Prosecutor's Office formed a case in order to examine all the circumstances related to the unfortunate events.

The MoI is available to the competent prosecutor's office as well as to all citizens who may have some information about potential reasons," said Vidović after the session of the cantonal government.

So far, he says, the Prosecutor's Office has not yet asked the police to initiate an investigation.

- The case has just been formed. In the coming days, will have meetings with the Prosecutor's Office, so we will see which direction to go. The fact is that the frequency itself indicates a well-founded suspicion that this is not an isolated case. Now what is the reason for that? These are such complex topics, we should approach these problems in an interdisciplinary manner and possibly try to find out the potential reasons. We will see if we succeed-  he said.
