The Appellate Division of the Court of B&H rejected the appeal of the Prosecutor's Office of B&H against the decision of Judge Tatjana Kosović to impose prohibitive measures on the recently arrested ISA Director Osman Mehmedagić instead of detention.

The appeal requested that the court reverse the decision and order detention as the only adequate measure for the smooth continuation of the proceedings. However, the appeal was rejected, the "Avaz" portal has learned.

The court also rejected the appeal of Mehmedagić's lawyers, who asked for the prohibition measures to be revoked. This means that the Court still considers that there is a reasonable doubt.

Custody was requested for fear that the suspect would repeat the crime, influence witnesses and conceal evidence, and that release could lead to public harassment.

We remind you that the director of the ISA was arrested two weeks ago by members of the SC Ministry of the Interior, according to the order of the Prosecutor's Office of B&H. As officially announced by the Prosecutor's Office of B&H, Mehmedagić is charged with criminal offenses of abuse of position or authority, forgery of documents and money laundering.

Immediately after the arrest, there was fierce pressure from the authorities and the regime media gathered around the SDA on the Prosecutor's Office of B&H and the Court that Mehmedagić is released.

Prohibitive measures include banning him from contacting all witnesses and suspects in the "Diploma" affair, including approaching them at a distance of 50 meters, as well as any contact and conversation about the case with any person except defense attorneys.
