A few days ago, the President of Savez za bolju budućnost BiH, Fahrudin Radončić, called on FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić to help the people in a difficult economic situation and "take a billion marks of free funds from the budget straw bag and distribute them to the people and the economy".

Radončić said that citizens have to survive a difficult winter, pay utilities, and inflation is huge.

A concrete proposal

That there are free funds he explained with the official data of the Indirect Tax Administration (ITA) of BiH and the Tax Administration of FBiH, according to which the total increase in income in the first eight months of this year amounted to more than 1.6 billion marks.

Economic analyst Draško Aćimović welcomed Radončić's proposal. He says that the surplus income will soon reach two billion marks.

- This initiative follows the recommendations of the IMF, which has been proposing targeted measures to protect the socially vulnerable and the economy for months. All the talk about the abolition of excise duties and the reduction of VAT is populism, because the experience of Germany shows that nothing became cheaper after the abolition of excise duties. Now we have finally received a concrete proposal from a man from the economy. Only surplus income can significantly help the poor and the economy, by passing decrees within seven days - believes Aćimović.

The FBiH Chamber of Commerce has repeatedly warned that the most effective way to help this country is through the economy, says the president of the FBiH Chamber of Commerce Mirsad Jašarspahić.

- It would really be good if part of the excess income was directed to the economy, so that companies would keep jobs, and we have companies that could expand their business, but they must not dare to do so without support due to difficulties in obtaining materials. The credit-guarantee fund has not yet been used. Companies are ready to receive loans from commercial banks, and guarantees for this are given by FBiH - points out Jašarspahić.

The president of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Selvedin Šatorović, claims that until now, especially in the last two and a half years, it has been shown that the executive power does not work in favor of the citizens.

- As the largest trade union organization, we will support every initiative aimed at improving the economic position of workers and citizens. It's time to listen to the professionals, banish the ubiquitous corruption from everyday life, make painful cuts that will make life easier for citizens. Any initiative aimed at this will have the full support of the SSSBiH - emphasizes Šatorović.

Bekan: 100 KM for buying votes

Suljo Bekan, a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Pensioners of FBiH, says that in FBiH, about 220,000 pensioners live with a minimum of 424 KM, and 63,000 receive less than that amount per month.

- Those 100 marks are just buying votes. There is no doubt that there is a huge surplus of income, so on September 22nd we will have a session where we will see how to put pressure on the Government to release those funds once - says Bekan.
